Terms & Conditions

LOCAL SEO NEW ZEALAND
✓ Google Business Profile SEO
Last updated: 28 August 2026.

About these terms

These terms explain how the Boost Online website and our local SEO services work. Boost Online is based in Palmerston North and works with businesses across New Zealand. Our postal address is Boost Online, PO Box 954, Palmerston North 4440.
Our services can include Google Business Profile setup and management, local SEO, website content, citations and website support. Website design, hosting or other work is included only when agreed in writing.
Sending an enquiry or requesting a free profile check does not start a paid service. Before paid work begins, we will give you a written proposal or service agreement. These terms apply to paid work only when that agreement includes them. If there is a difference, the written service agreement takes priority, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Scope, fees and payment

The written agreement will set out the work, setup fee, ongoing fees, payment dates, whether GST applies, and any minimum term or cancellation notice. Fees are in New Zealand dollars unless stated otherwise. No recurring payment is authorised simply by using this website.
Work is limited to the agreed scope. New pages, content, citations and profile updates may be completed over time as part of a monthly plan. A service description is not a promise that every possible task or page will be delivered each month.
Extra work, third-party costs and changes to the agreed scope or fees need written agreement before they apply. We will discuss any change to timing caused by extra work or missing information.

Your information and approvals

You must be authorised to act for the business. Please give us accurate business details, service areas, contact information and any material needed for the agreed work. Tell us promptly if those details change.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for the photos, logos, text, customer information and other material you supply. Do not send passwords through an enquiry form or ordinary email.
We may ask you to check business facts, service claims and draft content before publication. Delays in access, information or approvals may affect the work schedule. Approval does not remove our responsibility to carry out the agreed work with reasonable care and skill.

Your Google Business Profile stays yours

You keep ownership of your Google Business Profile. Where access is needed, you grant management access through Google’s account tools. We do not need your personal Google password.
Google Business Profile is a free Google product. Our fees cover the agreed setup, management, content and related work. Boost Online is an independent service provider, not Google.
Google controls profile eligibility, verification, edits, reviews, suspensions and visibility. We cannot approve verification, guarantee reinstatement or override Google’s decisions. We will not create false locations, fake reviews or misleading business information.

Results and reporting

We will carry out the agreed work with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise a particular ranking, a top-three Maps position, a number of enquiries or sales, or a recommendation by an AI system.
Search results vary by location, search wording, competition and changes made by Google or other platforms. Reports describe the data and checks available at the time; they are not a guarantee of future results.
Any example ranking grid or illustration on this website is labelled as an example where relevant. It is not evidence of a client’s results unless we clearly say so and have permission to use it.

Website content and ownership

You keep the rights you already hold in your brand, existing content, customer information and other material you supply. You allow us to use that material as needed to deliver the agreed services.
The written agreement will set out ownership or usage rights for new website designs, written content, domains and other deliverables, including any payment conditions and what happens when the service ends. Please ask us to clarify these points before accepting the proposal.
Third-party software, fonts, stock images, plugins and hosting remain subject to their own licences or terms. Hosting, maintenance, backups and software renewals are not included unless the written agreement says they are.

Privacy and confidentiality

We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Please share only the information needed for the work and tell us about any limits on its use.
Both parties must protect confidential information received through the work. It may be shared with people who need it to deliver the services, with permission, or where the law permits or requires it. This does not cover information already lawfully public.

Changing, pausing or ending the service

Please contact us in writing if you want to change or cancel the service. The agreed term, notice period, final charges and handover arrangements are set out in the written service agreement.
If an invoice is overdue or a problem prevents the work from continuing, we will contact you and explain what needs to be resolved. Urgent action may be needed where continued access or work would create a security risk or break the law or a platform’s rules.
Ending our management service does not transfer ownership of your Google Business Profile to us. We will arrange removal of our management access and any agreed handover. You can also manage access through Google.
Refunds and remedies will be handled under the written agreement and applicable law. Nothing on this page creates a blanket ‘no refunds’ rule.

Your legal rights and resolving problems

Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand law, including under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply.
If something is wrong, contact us with the details so we can discuss a fair way to resolve it. This does not stop either party using any legal rights or complaints process available to them.
These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Any different liability arrangements must be set out in the written service agreement and remain subject to applicable law.

Website use and updates

Please use this website lawfully. Do not try to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation or misuse information you obtain from it. Links to other websites do not mean we control or endorse everything on those sites.
We may update these website terms when the services or website change. An update on this page does not by itself change an existing signed or accepted client agreement.
For questions about these terms, email [email protected] or contact Boost Online before agreeing to paid work.
